The Government of Maharashtra has decided to recruit 528 competent and efficient
staff nurses on the basis of merit through online Competitive Test-2018.
This competitive test-2018 is meant for recruitment of competent candidates for the
post of staff nurses and to appoint selected G N M / B.B.Sc (Nursing) trained nurses
in the hospital under establishment of Director of Medical education & Research,

Qualifications -
1 The applicant must be an Indian National and Domicile of Maharashtra State.
2 Educational Qualification: General Nursing Midwifery 3 or 3 1/2 years Diploma
Course Or B.Sc.Nursing (Basic / Post Basic) Degree Course, The Diploma /
Degree Course should be passed from institution situated in Maharashtra state ,
recognized by Maharashtra Nursing Council Mumbai and approved by the Govt of
Maharashtra.
3 .The above Diploma/degree Course should be passed from the institution situated in
the state of Maharashtra and recognized by Maharashtra Nursing Council,
Mumbai/Maharashtra university of Health sciences Nasik/University situated in the
state of Maharashtra,
4 The applicant must be duly registered to the Maharashtra Nursing council Mumbai
and should submit registration and Diploma/Degree Certificate with its renewal
5. Any Candidate applying for the said exam before the completion of their respective
study course will not be allowed to appear for the MHN-CWT 2018 Examination,
6 A candidate allowed to appear for the said competitive test does not mean that, he /
she is qualified for the appointment to the post of Staff Nurse.
7 The candidate must be medically fit. Fitness certificate must be submitted as per
(Annexure”F”)
8 He/She has to produce all required original certificates during the process of both
provisional &final scrutiny.
Application Mode - Online
Application Fee - The cost of examination fee is Rs 1060/- for open category and Rs 960/-for reserved category candidates. This amount is not refundable.Candidate has to pay exam on
online only.

➲CONDUCT AND SCHEME OF ONLINE COMPETITIVE ONLINE TEST-2018
1 The competitive Online test will be conducted in English only.
2 MHN-CWT-2018 paper will be of 2 hours duration containing 150 multiple choice
questions (MCQS). Questions will be of single best response objective type with four
answer options. Each correct response shall be awarded one mark. There shall
be no negative marking for wrong answers.
3 Competitive Online test-2018 shall be of the standard of General Nursing &
Midwifery Examination and shall cover all the subjects of GNM Course conducted
by MNC Mumbai & B Sc Nursing (Basic/Post Basic) Courses conducted by MUHS
Nasik.
4 Syllabus of Test: - 125 questions shall be based on syllabus of G N M / Basic B Sc
Nursing Syllabus and 25 questions shall be General Aptitude test.
5 Total number of posts are 528 post
The number of vacant post may vary at the time of recruitment. The recruitment to
the post of Staff Nurse will be made as per available Post and as per need with
taking into account the roster point.
